Liliana Cunha

Liliana Cunha is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Porto; Invited Associate Professor at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (Master’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Hygiene Engineering and Doctoral Program in Occupational Safety and Health); researcher at the Center of Psychology of the University of Porto; and Secretary General of the International Society of Ergology.

Her teaching activity falls within the domains of analysis of the labor market and employment systems, and their segmentation according to gender, age, and territory; occupational health and safety; and methodologies for analyzing work and occupational risks.

Since 2017, she has coordinated projects aimed, in particular, at (i) the analysis of new work scenarios marked by technological transformation (e.g., automation and robotization of work), from a gender perspective, and (ii) the analysis of inequalities in professional careers due to health problems related to work (e.g., work accidents and occupational diseases), following an approach that goes beyond the company level.

Liliana Cunha is a member of the Committee for the preparation of the “Green Book on the future of safety and health at work”, and a member of the Board of the Laboreal journal, an international and interdisciplinary research journal that publishes scientific articles focusing on real work activity.
